Why do some FXD boots carry a broader slip-resistance rating than others?
The DURA X-2 and DURA X-3, both explicitly built with landscaping in mind, are rated SRC under AS 2210.3, meaning they're tested slip-resistant on both wet ceramic tile and wet steel. Several other boots in the range carry the narrower SRA rating, tested on wet ceramic tile only.
What's the difference between the WS.1 canvas short and the WS.6 cargo short for landscaping work?
The WS.1 uses a heavier 280GSM canvas with a simpler pocket layout, while the WS.6 uses a lighter 255GSM ripstop with dual zippered cargo pockets built specifically for securing tools. The WS.6's zippered pockets suit landscaping's constant movement better than open pockets would.
